Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things necessary for our common life, and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. ANNOUNCEMENTS A WARM WELCOME to all visitors and newcomers, we're glad you're here, and we hope you'll keep coming back!! Holy Communion is open to all that wish to receive. This is Christ's altar, not the Episcopal Church's, and all are welcome at Christ's feast. We also hope you'll introduce yourself to the clergy after the service and will sign our guest book. Please join us for light refreshments, goodies and conversation after the service in the Parish Hall at the opposite end of our building. Welcome!! THE YOUTH GROUP will once again be asking for your spare change for the Souper Bowl of Hunger. Any donations you could give to our 'soup bowls' will go directly to local hunger relief organizations in the area. When is it? TODAY, the same day as that 'small' football game is being held...February 3rd, 2008. Thank you for your support! ASH WEDNESDAY IS FEBRUARY 6th There will be five services: 6:30AM, 8:00AM, 9:30AM, 12:15PM and 7:30PM. PALMS FOR ASHES Please bring in the palms you have left from last year. They will be burned and used for Ash Wednesday. Please put them in the basket that is in the Narthex. Thank you. SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER is Tuesday, February 5TH . See the sign up sheet in the Narthex. HELP NEEDED to set up & clean up. Please see Lisa Perry. “MINUTES” FOR MINISTRY: If you (or your teen) has some free evening/weekend text or cell phone time, you can do quick and powerful ministry. Once a month/week/day, call or text our government leaders, encouraging them to keep the MDG’s. A sample letter and phone/text message, with president/senator addresses/numbers, is on our parish website, or pick up a copy from the narthex table or see Terry. Thank you. 1ST SUNDAY LOOSE CHANGE COLLECTION Will be today. Please be generous as the discretionary fund reaches out to many. Thank you. PICTORIAL DIRECTORY We would like to announce that we are going to create a new pictorial directory of our church family! Please participate! We would like to have EVERY family be part of the new directory. EVERY family receives a FREE 8x10 photograph and a FREE directory just for coming. ANYONE can come to the church to have their photograph taken, so invite your friends and neighbors. (Their picture will not appear in our directory, but they still get a FREE 8x10 and the church will receive another FREE directory.) Casual posing is also available free of charge. Please take a moment after the Liturgy and SIGN UP for your appointment today while there is still a good selection of appointments. Photography sessions will be on March 7 & 8th. Additional dates will be scheduled if necessary. THE BROTHERHOOD OF SAINT ANDREW a men’s group for spirituality/ministry in the Episcopal Church will be meeting the 1st and 3rd Wednesday. at 7:30 PM in the church. ATTENTION ALL COSTCO SHOPPERS If you would please pick up a large can of potatoes and/or corn when you shop you can help feed the hungry on “Meatloaf Mondays”. We use 4 cans of each every month. Perhaps their car isn’t working or they are unable to drive themselves to church. Provide a wonderful service and give them a lift (in more ways than one.)
