SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER is next Tuesday, February 21st from 5:30 until 7:30 PM. Please see the sign up sheet for donations on the table in the Narthex. Bring your old palms from last year’s Passion Sunday service! We will burn them during the dinner and they will be sifted and ground to make this year’s ashes for Ash Wednesday. There will be a Good Will Offering.

ASH WEDNESDAY: February 22nd there will be services at 7:00 AM, 12:00 Noon and 7:30 PM. There will be music with choir at the 7:30 PM service.

EXPLORING OUR FAITH:

We will be offering an Exploring Our Faith Program on three Tuesdays in Lent.

This program is designed for children in 2-4th grade. The Episcopal Church does not formally recognize First Communion, we believe all baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion whenever they feel a desire to do so. This short program will help the children understand why we do the things we do in the Episcopal Church. It is designed to be fun and interactive. We will meet for one hour on three Tuesdays in Lent, time to be announced. We will formally recognize the children who have completed the sessions on Maundy Thursday during our service at 7:30 PM. These are the sessions: 2/28, 3/13, 3/27 and 4/5.

If your child would like to participate in this program, please tell Maria. Our first session will begin on Tuesday Feb. 28th.

THE WAY OF THE CROSS

Guided Imagery is a contemplative way of prayerfully seeing ourselves interacting with God in a particular scene. Through the art of silent reflection, this program will be a new way of visiting the Stations of the Cross. It will take place in the chapel, and will cover 14 stations over three sessions. It is a time mostly of silence where we will place ourselves in the scene with Christ as he progresses to the Cross. Each session will last 45 minutes. Our first session will begin at 7:30 PM on Tuesday March 6th. If interested please tell Maria.

“BREAKFAST AT TRINITY”: Our next breakfast will be the second Saturday in March, March 10th from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The All You Can Eat Breakfast is $6.00 per adult and $4.00 for children 12 and under. Please ask your friends, neighbors and co-workers to join us then.

PROGRESSIVE DINNER: There has been some interest in having a progressive dinner, possibly in May. If you would like to participate in this event, please talk to Lisa Perry on Sunday.

Congratulations on the calling of your new Rector! I wish you all the blessings in the world. I am sure she will be a blessing to Trinity and that she, likewise, will quickly see just how lucky she is to both lead and be part of such a blessed community of faith. God's Peace be with you all! A big warm thank you to all Trinity knitters and friends who knitted or crocheted prayer shawls and warm hats for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Thirteen pink shawls and one green along with four hats were delivered to Monmouth Medical Center's breast cancer/oncology department on Thursday, November 11 by four members of Trinity's Knitting Ministry. The director, nurses, and department personnel were deeply touched and grateful for the donation. Trinity Knitters have decided to dedicate most of their future shawls to this organization which helps both men and women in need. We welcome anyone who would like to learn the arts of knitting or crocheting to join us in the Vesting room between Sunday services.
